Brief History:
Two competition cars were commissioned by the French Maserati distributors Ets Thepenier to compete in the 1974 Le Mans.  Due to its failure to meet the prevailing GT category homologation regulations for the number of vehicles produced it was unable to start.  Extremely light with good handling and phenomenal speed the car would no doubt have proved to be super competitive.  The specifications listed below are those of the standard 4.7 litre version of the V8 used initially in the production version - it is certain that this vehicle was both considerably lighter, generated more horsepower and ran wider rims than the standard version.
