Brief History:
The 320S is proposed for the development of a single-marque customer racing program similar to that of the Barchetta and the Ghibli 'Open' Cup.  Using the same power plant as the 3200GT, the single seat 320S with a dry weight of 1300 kg has shed at least 200 kg from its cousin. Bodywork changes include larger front and rear wings which are both closer to the ground to boost vertical rear load and the wheelbase is some 220 mm shorter.  Significantly larger Brembo discs 355x32 mm at the front and 328x28 mm at the rear, larger wheels 9.5x18 front and 11x18 rear, together with a special suspension system with different adjustable dampers and stiffer springs will see the car stop and turn-in better.  The car comes equipped with an arc roll-over bar, rapid petrol filler caps on both sides, automatic fire extinguisher system, battery cut-out, composite materials race seat and a 6-point harness.  Minus the interior fit-out of the 3200GT the car has digital instrumentation, Sparco steering wheel & pedals, starter button and switches.
