Brief History:
A sport version of the Tipo 26M was built for road racing as with previous models for competition in such events as the Mille Miglia, but following the production of the 'street version' of the car a two-seater called the 'Gran Sport' in 1931, Zagato also built a similar car which announced Maserati's entry into the production of private (non-racing) vehicles.
