Brief History:
The car featured above is in fact one of two prototypes developed Vignale prior to production.  The story of the restoration of one of these two cars can be found on this site.  The production cars carried both the GT and GTI designation reflecting the changes from carburettor to the Lucas Fuel injection during the life of the vehicle.  The cars were not of 'Superleggera' construction.
