Brief History:
Derived directly from the 450S but with a larger bore and retaining its gear driven camshafts this first version, bedecked with some detailing in pure gold, became known as the 'Shah of Persia' model and boasted a declared power of over 350 bhp. Three 'Shah of Persia' models were built by Touring. The production of the first two cars gave rise to what can be called the first series as these retained the dimensions of the 450S motor and its gear driven overhead camshafts..  Subsequent cars, or the second series used an engine of different dimension, used chain driven camshafts, were fuel injected and although they still had great power, were now more civilised.  Fuel injection was introduced in 1960.
