Brief History:
Pinin Farina's first version of the A6 1500 which was shown at the Geneva Salon in 1947.  The body shape in spyder form had first appeared in the A6 1500 Sport or 6C Sport (see Maserati Race Cars).  Once it had been decided to produce the vehicle following the Geneva Salon, Pinin Farina undertook a significant restyling of the car.
