Brief History:
The Bora was a very significant Maserati, being the first mid-engined production vehicle and also the first since the production of the A6 to have an independent rear end. The car was initially released with the 4.7 litre V8 in dry sump form.  Following a revision to the styling in 1976, where it incorporated a grille to improve cooling it also became available with the 4.9 litre V8.  A special version of this car was built for the French Dealer Thepenier for the 1974 Le Mans Group IV category, but the car was deemed ineligible prior to the race.
