Brief History:
Designed as a four seater and seen as the replacement for the 5000GT, the cars was in fact prompted by prompted by a one-off customer car developed by Vignale - a 2+2 version with a 4.9 litre motor.  The Mexico was released as a two-door 4 seater with a 4.7 litre motor.  In 1969 the car somewhat unusually was produced with the 4.2 litre V8
