Notes
Released initially with a 4.2 litre V8 the Quattroporte filled a gap in the market in part created by the 5000GT for a luxurious and rapid four door saloon.  Revised in 1966 there were some small styling changes (eg headlights), the replacement of the De Dion axle with a rigid axle and the option of a 4.7 litre V8.  It was regarded in most quarters as the quickest saloon car in the world at this time.
