Brief History:
Following the release of the coupe and the sedan was the Biturbo Spyder. Based on the floor pan of the coupe the wheelbase was shortened to 2400 mm and the body was entrusted to Zagato who retained the family styling.  As was the case with the coupe the Spyder was offered in foreign markets with a 2.5 litre motor.  The fuel injected version the Spyder i was released in 1987 and the Spyder i '90 was announced on December 14, 1989 at the time of the release of the Shamal, with an enlarged 2.8 litre motor for foreign markets.  The final version the Spyder III was released in both 2.0 litre and 2.8 litre form and continued in production until 1994.
