More than 90 paid entries were received for this event, in the end there were 84 cars lined up to start the day after the usual late withdrawals due to mechanical problems of varying sorts.  A report on the day may be found in Recent Track Events, which includes a listing of all cars and drivers that actually made it to the event and includes a summary of times by marque and by driver.   Detailed individual lap times may be downloaded from the site.

TO TOP OF PAGE1996 Maserati Ghibli Cup.  The first of two cars in Australia and brought out to race in GTP. A total of 24 were built by the factory.  Andrew's is probably the only one that has been converted to RHD and set up for tarmac rallies such as Targa Tasmania.

TO TOP OF PAGE1994 Ford GT40 (Replica).  Brilliant looking car and beautifully finished.   Driven by Ross Holder these hand-made replicas are produced by 'Roaring Fourties' in Seaford, Victoria.

TO TOP OF PAGETO TOP OF LIST1960 Aston Martin DB4.  This all alloy Aston Martin driven by Scott Shearman was getting in some quick laps in preparation for Classic Adelaide.

TO TOP OF PAGETO TOP OF LIST1964 Iso Rivolta IR300 GT in the foreground is the car of Chris Stephen.  The yellow car is the 1969 Marcos 3000GT of Rob Sherrard.  They are doing what everyone else does in motorsport ... waiting around.  This pit lane shot has been taken in the morning as drivers line up waiting for the day to start.

TO TOP OF PAGETO TOP OF LIST1988 Mazda RX7.  Driven by Brad Sherriff who came up from Tasmania to drive the car on the day proved very quick.  It took some practice though!  This 'off' on Turn 1, is probably something Brad doesn't want to be reminded of.

TO TOP OF PAGETO TOP OF LIST1994 Caterham K Series S7.   Harry Williams in this striking Clubman is seen here taking a passenger on board in the morning session to give him the guided tour.

TO TOP OF PAGETO TOP OF LIST1973 Jaguar XJ6 Sprinter.  Murray Scoble appears to have dropped the drive shaft whilst battling for control.  The 'Sprinters' look like they may get a proper race series going in 2000
