| The Club provides
several occasions throughout the year for Club members, their family, friends and
colleagues to get together in the company of others. To
cater for those who always find their diaries full on the weekend, three of these events
are held on weekdays to make them more convenient for most.

For each
of the events we have listed below the dates may be regarded as firm.
As are the venues where they have been provided. In other cases only
the venue has to be determined. Once the venues for each event
have been determined, the Booking Slip for each will be made available on
this site from the 'Quick
Access' page.
- Annual
General Meeting - usually the first Monday in
February
The opportunity to review activities of the club in the previous year
and deal with the club's statutory obligations. The new Committee
takes office from the conclusion of this meeting. The meeting is
scheduled for 6.30 pm and is uwill be held at Bells Hotel & Brewery
in Moray Street, South Melbourne.
- The Grand Prix
Dinner - usually the Thursday
prior to the AGP
This event is held on the Thursday prior to the commencement of the
Australian Grand Prix, when the focus of motorsport in the world is on the
opening round of the F1 season at Albert Park Lake. Guests from
overseas and interstate are always welcome at this annual dinner, which is
always conducted at a centrally located restaurant of outstanding merit
and Italian style. A

- The Annual Club Lunch
- usually the third Friday in July
This major event is held each year at a location in the Melbourne CBD -
the club is fortunate in having had as its guests a number of interesting
and informative guest speakers from the motor sport world address at this
annual event. The guest speaker and venue will be announced in the
'President's Notebook'. A

- The Grand Final Lunch
- usually the last Friday in September
If you live in Melbourne, then you know that the Friday before the last Saturday in
September is a special occasion in Melbourne and the city is in 'party'
mood with the advent of the AFL Grand Final on the following day. The venue this
year is "Jimmy Watson's Wine Bar" in Lygon
Street, Carlton. A

- The President's
Day - usually the first Sunday in November.
Held in recent years at Studley Park in Kew.
The club offers a free 'Brunch' and invites members to
bring along an interesting car. An

- The Xmas
Lunch - usually the first Sunday in December
The choice of venue for the Xmas Lunch varies from year to year. In
recent years it has ranged from a splendid country property, a bayside
sea-view restaurant situated at the water's
edge to a Chinese Yum Cha at an acclaimed Yarra Bank restaurant. A
